She changes everything she touches
Within the mysteries of the universe there remains one fundamental constant: balance. Light to Dark, Love to Hate, Male to Female. Balance, it would seem, is a law that cannot be transgressed. There is a Supreme Creator, a God. Masculine and Light. The angels teach this truth when they deign to speak of the Father of All. But the Father of All is joined in Eternity by the Great Mother, Feminine and Dark, preserving the law of balance.
Long before the creation of all things there were three constants: The Eternal Father, the Eternal Mother, and the Eternal Void. As man and woman, God and Goddess, the two Eternal Divinities came together and filled much of the void with all the things that became or will become our Universe. The Father, in his role as Lawgiver laid the foundation for the material reality, the material world, the laws and patterns of existence. The Mother, in her role as Lifebringer, brought forth creatures in tune with those laws, and endowed them with spirit, soul, and breathed out the essence of life on an otherwise sterile universe
Together, Father and Mother shaped the reality we now live in, and all other worlds besides. That which is visible and invisible, huge or microscopic, all shaped by the Eternals. He is known as El in ancient texts, Lord of Sky and Law. She is known as Danu, sometimes called Gaia by humans today, Lady of Life and Love.

Divine Separation
Long before what humans call history began, before the angels were sired or the fae opened their eyes, the God and the Goddess came to strife. No one living can now tell the tale of their fall from the others favor, but between them still is love fit to kindle the universe and a hate that could smother it in icy darkness. God brought forth his angels, as servants and warriors and agents of his fate. The Goddess brought forth the Fae to stand as her servants, crafting them from her dreams and the dreams of a nascent cosmos. The God created his Heaven, forsaking the divine abode they had wrought together, and the Goddess brought forth a realm known now as the 'Otherworld'.
Surrounded by their adoring servants, they parted. Prophecy says that one day they will reunite and all the injuries of the world will be undone, but until that fateful day there is only their silence.
The Children of Danu
The Faerie are the Children of Danu, in the same way that angels are the children of El. They were created to fulfill many of the same roles that the angels fulfill, guardians and protectors, watchers over the natural world and keepers of nature's balance and the Goddess' mysteries. The Fae also represent the collective imagination and passion of mankind, the light and the dark dreams of humanity, and the power inherent in Nature.
